I started working at Victoria Road Pre-School in January 2013. ​I built up my qualifications in childcare then became SENCo then Deputy. In May 2017 I became the manager and had my first Ofsted inspection in 2018 where we were graded a 'GOOD', and continued this grading in our last inspection December 2023.

I'm always looking at how we can improve and give the best possible start to the children in their early years. It is so important to me that children are happy, feel safe and learn life skills with the support from all my team.

I feel very lucky to enjoy coming to work and watching our children grow and achieve new challenges then seeing them ready to move onto new adventures. Also, having a fantastic team around me makes a big difference.

I started working at Victoria Road Pre-school in April 2023. I have gained many years of experience and skills working with children and started my childcare journey in 2009. I began as an apprentice and completed my NVQ level 2 and 3. Since being qualified I have worked in many roles such as EYP, room leader and deputy which has enhanced my experience to progress my knowledge in childcare further. I am currently working towards my L5 in Management and Leadership to support me within my current role and gaining new skills along the way.
I am a friendly and caring person and find working with children really rewarding. I thoroughly enjoy helping the children to learn and supporting their families with their development. I have always been very family orientated and love spending time with family and friends.
My two children attended Victoria Road Preschool and I always loved how friendly and supportive the staff were. Being part of team is rewarding as everyone works together. I am lucky to work alongside an amazing and talented team. We all share the same passion to support the children to reach their full potential and provide the best experiences for them.

I started working at Victoria Road Pre-School in September 2014 and started my childcare career working in a nursery as a assistant then qualifying as a nursery nurse. I have worked with all ages from babies to 5 year olds.
I love working at pre-school, we have a great team and there is a wonderful atmosphere where we encourage and support all children to perform to their full potential.

Being SENCo is such a rewarding job, watching the children overcome challenges and achieving goals.
My job can be challenging, however, also amazing and very rewarding to see a child's progress and also being there to support the parents and working together as a team.
